1A Auto shows you how to remove or replace the interior door panel trim on your vehicle. You need to remove the door panel for a number of different repairs, for example door handles, window regulators, power window motors, door locks and more. This video, will help you do this.
Can you please comment about the window switch removal not being correct? Is it correct or not? I have used your videos to save myself a load of aggravation. Thank you.
Like another post here, the 2004 Suburban has the window and control cluster attached from underneath the door panel and cannot be removed from the top. The second screw to remove is next to the lock release instead of inside the door panel near the control cluster. Trying to remove the control cluster from the top may cause some damage since it is screwed in from the bottom.
Your right I just snaped the front screw tab , also the second screw holding the door in is located behind the door lock assembley, great vid though...!!
My speaker or woofer has come loose and hanging inside the "mesh" speaker cover. Can I pry the mesh off the door panel to access the speakers without removing the whole door panel? Thanks!!
Thanks for the Video. Just a word of caution. I broke off a plastic part in trying to use these instructons on a 2003 Yukon. While the panel looks identical to the one here, the power window swith asssembly is attached at the front end from underneath (pointy end) with a small screw that is accessed from below but only after the door panel is pulled away from the door. If you try to pry it out as shown, it'll snap!
should be the same on my 06 sierra crew cab right? Good video. I'm always afraid of tugging on things I think will snap off... but are screwed on by some hidden screw!
