Bifold doors are a great option for closets, large and small. You can open them up for more access, they take up minimal space and they give the room a nice finished look. Well show you how to install bifold doors following these simple steps.
i have a 47"x 81.5" opening but all the mirror bifold doors seem to be 24" x 80". Not worried about the height just the width. I know I need 4 panels but will two 24" doors do the trick?
Check out the door knobs at 4:42. He just explained how to put them on by measuring. LOL! I don't think they are the same. The one on the right door looks a lot higher than the one on the left. Am I wrong?
You don't HAVE to center them. I think they look better in a cased opening if they are closer to the outer edge of the closet and will look more like the entrance door to the room.
These doors can be installed on a laminate by pre-drilling a thicker hole than that of the thickness of the screw. This will maintain the floating effect of your floor. Also, if you take a piece of cove and nail it in front of your top track, it creates a nice valance and really makes the install look professional.
