1A Auto shows you how to remove or replace the interior door panel trim on your vehicle. You need to remove the door panel for a number of different repairs, for example door handles, window regulators, power window motors, door locks and more. This video, will help you do this.
they make em worse every year...went from a simple 2002 to a 2011 and the stupid clips are a PITA...I preferred the older slide down interference fit version
The process may be similar on your 2002 Avalanche, but may not be exactly the same. You would need to remove any trim pieces that bolt through the door panel and into the door, and then remove the door panel from the door with a putty knife. Hope this helps.
I have a 2011 Sierra SLE, and absolutely hate where they put the door release. It is down by your feet. Would the door panels from a Sierra SLT fit in place of my stock ones? The door release is up high, like in this video.
i have an 08 silverado this video was helpful up until actualluy lifting the door panel off. i was able to remove the bolt and trim pieces but something seemed to be keeping the panel from actually coming off. am i missing something??
Excellent Video. I purchased new (real) Chrome Door Handles. This will be a big help. Pray all goes well..... (the plastic chrome plated PUTCO ones I had previously put in pitted after about 10 months)
